It's official, I am safely in Stockholm, Sweden! Well, Danderyd to be more specific, a municipality in Sweden that is quite near Stockholm. I am SO tired, but I just wanted to update this before I crash into bed! The last 30 hours (yes, 30 hours!) have been very exciting, from getting lost in LA with my mom trying to find a Starbucks, eating a DELISH meal at the Cheesecake Factory on the water in Marina del Rey, the 9 hour plane ride to London sitting next to a guy named Daniel Fogg from Manchester who told me all about his last 9 months traveling the world and answering every question I could come up with about England, to my first experience with exchanging currency on my own just to call home (just fyi: 8 dollars will get you about 5 pounds and a few pence in Great Britain), I saw the London Gherkin and Tower Pier in person (from the plane window), purchased a shot of espresso from a British Starbucks for exactly £1.35, ate a lovely meal with Daniel's family (Daniel Ankarcrona, my boyfriend, not to be confused with Daniel Fogg), was told Daniel's grandpa ("Morfar" in Swedish) said I looked like I could be a nurse and the Virgin Mary, spent some good time and had some great laughs with Daniel, Emilie, Adrian, and Samuel over tea while watching various comedy clips online, and just barely finished getting my stuff put away in Sophie's room (my temporary lodgings until the downstairs apartment is finished)... PHEW! :D I know I need to be going to bed right now, but I can't seem to close my eyes for long enough... I am "snookered," as Daniel Fogg would say. Apparently in England they have a game similar to pool that they call Snooker, in which one opponent attempts to "snooker" the other so they have no choice but to forfeit? I kind of zoned out when he was explaining it to me, so I won't be looking to play a round any time soon ;)
Well, I'm off for bed... Again! Hopefully this time I can actually close my eyes long enough to convince my body it needs and desperately wants sleep! :D
The above photo is of London from the plane.

OMG!!! It already sounds like your having a blast!! When I was reading your post, I was thinking, man this would be a great movie haha. And this other Daniel character seemed amusing. Well I love you and can’t wait for more of your interesting posts :)
Love, Lindsey Lu
hi chica! do not be homesick. enjoy you time there cause it will fly. you look relaxed and in love. i think its okay that Daniel is a factor in your travels across the world... think about would you have done it other wise??
God has this wonderful way of moving us out of our comfort zone, God can use whatever formula He wants to do this. In your case (and in mine) it has been love (or a deep like hehe!).
we are all cheering for you way out here!
may you days be merry and bright
mieshia
You're off for bed??? What, just 'cause you're in Sveeeeden, you're ESL now? ;) Loooove and miss you, darlin' Sloopy. Have more fun than a human being should be allowed to have!
I'm just curious, is the morfar that told you that you could be the virgin mary the same one you told Lindsey and I about at Moo Creamery?? Haha funny story that I shant repeat here, but if you cant remember just let me know and I remind you ;-) Well it sounds like you are having a fabulous time...boy are things pricey out there!!! Love ya girlie, have lots of fun...this blog is awesome, I feel that I can live vicariously through you hehehe
Kacie
Lu! Yes, Daniel Fogg was QUITE the character! And he drank almost the entire flight! ;D Miss you!
Miesha- Thanks for your cheers... I can almost hear them! ;) I will try not to be homesick.. So far it is ok because I'm dealing with a bit (or a LOT) of jet lag, and there is so much to do getting the apartment ready. So I'll let you know a few weeks from now how I'm doing, and THEN you can give me a good pep talk again ;D
WHATEVER DINKY! ;D Haha jk, love ya too! I'm tryin!
Kacie- The one and the same! ;D Except this time he's actually speaking to me in english mostly, so that's a blessing ;) Things are expensive, but I am SO excited to tell you Daniel and I plan to buy most of the stuff for the apartment from IKEA (all the heavens rejoice!) and it is so cheap there! The exchange rate here makes it scary too, we bought a bottle of shampoo for 65 :- (kronors) yesterday!!! ;) It was about $10, so its $1 to about 7:-, a little over. Not too terribly expensive, but the bottle was way smaller than I would usually buy! ;D
Lana,
It's neat to read of your musings as you travel. I hope and pray you have a great time. I couldn't help but think that Danderyd sounds like a cheesy dandruff shampoo (Dander-rid). Is it by chance the brand you bought for $10? :) Corny, I know! Be good and be well! Pastor Jon (aka Uncle Jon)
Haha! Corny, yes, but still funny! Luckily it isn't pronounced that way, the "rid" sounds more like "reed" ;D Thanks for checking up on me, love you and miss you!
